World Cup Predictions Last 16 & Correct Scores

Hello everyone. My prediction rate is going up after a slow start. I have now predicted 19 correct results of the group games bar the Spain & Switzerland games. The latest correct results were Argentina beating Greece & also by the correct score, the USA beating Algeria, Germany beating Ghana, Holland beating Cameron & Ivory Coast beating North Korea. My rate has gone up from around 20% to 40%. Hopefully this rate will reach 50% + by the time the World cup ends.

Just a quick note regarding England. Well done lads but you have messed it up because you now have Germany on Sunday & we always lose to Germany in World Cup’s.

This has been a very mixed World Cup with a lot of shock results. Both Italy & France have departed, something I would have not predicted…

Keep the faith & Good luck.

Match 51 Last 16: England – Germany: (Sunday June 27th 3pm)

Here we go again. Will England beat Germany? No. Because when ever they play a side deemed better or as good as them they go out. In Mexico 1986 they lost 2-1 to Argentina, in 1990 it was Germany on Penalties, 1998 it was Argentina again on penalties, 2002 Brazil 2-1 in the Quarters & then 2006 Portugal on Penalties after they had also knocked England out of Euro 2004 again on penalties. Throw in Euro 96 & a semi final defeat to Germany on penalties & you can see a pattern developing. England always go out after a close game but the bottom line is that they always go out. Germany have played better than England so far in the group games even though they did rather unluckily lose to Serbia 1-0 when they had a player sent off & missed a second half penalty. England did beat Germany in a friendly recently 2-1 in Germany but that will count for nothing as England take friendly games more seriously than most nations or at least the press & media do. An England defeat then but England only have themselves to blame as they should have topped their group & avoided playing Germany in the first place.

Result Prediction: Germany to win

Score Prediction: Germany 2 England 1

Match 52 Last 16: Argentina – Mexico: (Sunday June 27th 7.30pm)

Argentina are my tip along with Spain to win the World cup. Argentina won all their group games playing some lovely football along the way. I predicted them to win all their group games & they didn’t let me down. This should be a good game as Mexico have played some great football as well even though they only came second in their group behind Uruguay after losing 1-0 to them in their last group game. I think that Argentina will win this game as they are better than Mexico & Mexico tend to have a pattern of qualifying out of their group in world cup games & then going out quickly afterwards. They were 1-0 up against Germany in 1998 but lost 2-1 in their last 166 game & then lost 2-0 to the USA in 2002, again in a last 16 game. They have never gone beyond the quarter finals in a world cup & I think that pattern will continue despite the fact that they are a good team & will give Argentina a close game. A shame for Mexico but the way Argentina are playing at present I can’t really see anyone beating them. We will see.

Result Prediction: Argentina to win

Score Prediction: Argentina 3 Mexico 1

Brazil played North Korea on Tuesday in a match where they were greatly favored at the sportsbook in 2010 World Cup odds.

Of all the starting World Cup betting lines, this 1 had the highest probabilities. North Korea is 1 of the poorest squads in the field while Brazil is one of the favorites to win the 2010 World Cup in soccer betting.

Brazil is getting 2.5 goals to North Korea with the total on the match at 3. The three-way line that features the draw has Brazil at -1050, North Korea at +2350 and the draw at +675. It would happened to be a huge surprise in this competition to have anything less than a persuasive Brazil win.

Brazil are co-favorites along with Spain to win the title this year, and they’re a 5-time World Cup champion. Brazil has a gifted lineup that includes Kaka, Robinho, Maicon, Lucio, Luis Fabiano, Michel Bastos, Gilberto Silva and Felipe Melo. Fabiano, who obtained 9 goals, was the foremost scorer for Brazil in qualifying. The important player for Brazil is likely Maicon who is 1 of the best right-backs on earth.

North Korea is going to be making only their second-ever World Cup appearance as they also played in the 1966 World Cup. North Korea will attempt to win with defense and truthfully that is their only possibility to contend vs a team like Brazil. They were not supposed to outscore Brazil. In fact, they are not likely to outscore any of the teams in this group. Just getting a point could be regarded as an achievement.

North Korea doesn’t have many big names on the roster. In reality, only 3 participants even play outside of the nation. Captain Hong Yong-Jo plays on the Russian Premier League side FC Rostov. Jong Tae-Se and An Yong-Hak both play in Japan. Hong Yong-Jo was the leading scorer in qualifying. He obtained four times.

North Korea isn’t supposed to win a game in Group G but they might have a say in who moves forward. If they can grab even just one point versus Portugal or Ivory Coast they might keep 1 of those two teams from the next round. It is really unlikely they can do anything against Brazil other than lose although on the betting line they’re gaining 2.5 goals so conceivably they can keep within two goals and cover the line.

But North Korea offered Brazil a much tougher game than they were anticipating. Brazil, being the number one squad in FIFA rankings, was supposed to totally rout the North Korean squad. Instead, they had a tough night and had to wait until the 55th minute to crack the deadlock. The North Koreans basically proved to be more capable opponents than was supposed.

Brazil warranted the win for their dominance in possession, especially in the second half, but North Korea’s earlier unknown competitors can be proud of themselves after a display full of passion and no little skill either.

While Brazil did win the match with a 2-1 score, it’s nonetheless to the credit of the North Korean team that they put up the competition they did.

The World Cup by FIFA is an international competition between the National football teams of men, member countries of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

The event is held every four years since 1930, except 42 and 46. The current structure includes 32 World Cup teams. They compete for the world Cup in the country’s stadiums which hosts the event every time.

The organization runs a total of one month, with qualifying games throughout the three years preceding the year of the final phase.

During the 18 competitions that have preceded, seven countries have won the title . Brazil has won five times and is the only team that has played all the time. Italy (former winner) has won four times and the German three. The other is Uruguay and Argentina (two times) and England and France one.

World Cup 2010 betting odds are hotter than hot after so many surprises in past tournaments. The greatest surprise happened in 2004 where Greece arrived as 150-1 outsiders who had never won a single match at a major tournament and in the end Greece became European Champions after beating Portugal in the final match.

Bet on Word Cup 2010

The seventh group is probably the toughest World Cup group taking part in it. Excluding the apparently weak North Korea, the othrer teams (Côte d’Ivoire, Brazil and Portugal) to assert claims not only to qualify to the next stage  but also to take a very good position to the World Cup 2010. Things of course would be much better for the Ivory Coast. It surely ranks of one of the best strikers in the world, Didier Drogba.

Drogba, was injured in the final stage of preparing the team and despite the initial negative assessments, makes a race to catch the games of the World Cup. Even without the heavy artillery in the attack, the team from Africa it is a very a good team with some great players and remains to be seen in terain if will manage to become the surprise of the tournament.

On the other hand, Portugal is still a great team, but has failed in the last matches to get an excess and claim a significant distinction. The two teams face up to the premiere of the seventh group and have never played rival in the past.

Côte d’Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire has scored the most goals (29) of all groups that participated in the African qualifiers.
At the 2006 World Cup joined at least three goals per game in Côte d’Ivoire.
Key Player: Guy Demelo (Didier Drogba)

Portugal

Ronaldo not achieved to score in the last seven qualifiers.
The Portuguese have reached the semifinals in three major tournaments in the last 10 years.
They hold the 0 to 7 from the last eight games.
 Key Player: Cristiano Ronaldo.
