Argentina was defeated by Germany in a astonishing 4-0 competition on Saturday despite being the faves to win this game in sportsbooks gambling.

Germany will now move forward to the semifinals where they will undertake Spain, who beat Paraguay 1-0 in World Cup betting.

At stake in the World Cup betting game between Argentina and Germany wasn’t simply a berth in the World Cup semifinals but plenty of national pride too. Including 2 times in the World Cup finals, these two teams have a long and rich history of meeting in the World Cup gambling competition. And the World Cup odds action prefers the Argentine side in this most recent soccer betting matchup on Saturday. But it won’t be the Albiceleste, but the Germans that progress one competition closer to this year’s World Cup wagering finals.

The Argentine side entered this game an 11/8 favorite in the World Cup odds. With 12/5 odds, Germany wasn’t far behind. But when you take a look at the total soccer wagering odds for an outright win in the World Cup gambling competition, Argentina had a decided edge 4.8/1 versus Germany’s 15/2 odds.

However the World Cup is not decided on paper and when the Germans pulled off the minor upset in the World Cup gambling game on Saturday, that was made obvious.

Argentina had been an offensive juggernaut so far in this World Cup and its ten goals in 4 competitions are about impressive as you’ll discover at the World Cup wagering level. But that flood offense comes as a result of a very forward playing squad which exposes the team’s defense.

In the Round of 16 World Cup betting competition, Mexico took advantage of this and almost made a match of it. Several shots wide open shots from a distance rattled off the crossbar, and Mexico could have just pulled off the win if the ball would have been a few inches lower. Germany is a better finishing squad and plays with more patience than the Mexican side, though it has the speed of Mexico to be just as hazardous on the counterattack.

Argentina has not had to play from behind for even a minute of World Cup betting event. When forced to press, this played right into the hands of the patient German side and opened more counterattack scoring chances.

And Argentina just didn’t remember to strengthen their defense. The Argentine’s infamously vocal and insane coach, Diego Maradona, stated before the competition that he wished he might get in uniform and play again for Argentina. But when it came down to it, it was not more offense that the team required. Maradona has been congratulated previously for giving his squad free rule to do their thing and assault the other team. To this point, it has served them nicely.

Maradona was plainly discouraged and disappointed after the defeat. As did several of the World Cup gambling fanatics, he must have expected much more from his squad. After all, this is a sport that’s been dominated by South America for many years. Yet now both Brazil and Argentina have been eliminated even with being a few of the strongest squads in the game.

The online football shirt market is definitely on the upswing right now. With the 2010 FIFA World Cup just few short months away, fans can find shirts for all of their favourite countries at several sites online. The shirts range in price and availability, so it’s a good idea to shop around until you find just the right position to purchase from. The beauty of online shopping is that you can have your shirt delivered directly to your door in a matter of days, and have it well broken in before the games begin.

Online football shirt gross sales have been steadily rising for a few years. Part of the reason they are enjoying such a large number of new sales is that football fans are really just beginning to realize that the online shops exist. It takes a while for internet consumers to feel they can entrust a company, but once that reputation is established there is a good chance that your sales will grow tremendously – and continue to remain steady over the long run. The ease of online sales is difficult to resist when all it takes is a computer and a credit card.

The Barcelona home football shirt sells very well even when the team are not doing very well, Barcelona are one of the few teams who patronize a charity on the front of their football shirts, both home and away shirt carry the logo of Unicef.

Another reason online football shirt sales have been on the upswing is that football itself is enjoying an increase in popularity. Satellite and cable television have brought the sport to a whole new audience, and the fan base is increasing by leaps and bounds. Countries that used to ignore the sport are now embracing it passionately, and the sales of football related merchandise indicate that it is truly a worldwide phenomenon. Football is even gaining more traction in the United States, where it has always enjoyed a more lukewarm response.

After a lackluster performance in their opening game of the World Cup wagering vs the Yanks, the English are mad, as well they ought to be. England qualified for the 2010 World Cup odds competition with plenty of ease wrecking its qualifying group competitors. It also climbed the FIFA world standings and prior to defender Rio Ferdinand followed only Spain (4:1) and Brazil (5:1) in the soccer betting probabilities at the sportsbooks. Its lineup is loaded with EPL stars and world class skill like Stevie Gerard, Frank Lampard and debatably the best striker in the world, Wayne Rooney.

Yet the best the English may muster was a 1-1 draw at the online sportsbook versus an substandard US squad. Worse, the US’ only goal came on a horrible gaffe by the English goaltender who granted the ball to slip through his hands on a regular save and watched as it dribbled into the goal.

But England needs to have bounced back from the comparable World Cup betting humiliation and save 3 points from Algeria. Algeria looked fairly weak during its 1st game, a 1-0 loss to Slovenia. Granted Algeria played most of the soccer wagering match down a man following its star striker was shown a red card in the first half, but it was clear that this squad was not of the same class as Ye Olde’ Englande.

In this sports wagering game, it was expected for the English to score early and often. Wayne Rooney should have been able to find much more space against a below average Algerian defense and manage to break free of his defenders considerably more easily than he did versus the US.

England knew how critical these 3 points are and it may not only let them get away. A tie puts them on the brink of elimination from the group, and the squad’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup odds contest would be all but snuffed out. They might find themselves in a 4 way battle only to advance from the group stage and this squad is simply too talented to find itself omitted of the Final 16 of the World Cup betting.

The only way to gamble this World Cup wagering competition was on England to win it (1/4), though the payout isn’t much.

Regrettably for England, which was a hugely favored squad going into the World Cup, Algeria held them to a tie. England’s continuously unimpressive performance in the World Cup 2010 is represented by the final score of 0-0. To date in this tournament, they basically have not been aggressive enough.

Coach Fabio Capello was horrified at the team’s performance. His remarks that “this isn’t the England I know” are most likely echoed by the countless fanatics. At the same time, he recognized that the strain of the World Cup may be affecting the team’s ability to score at their usual levels.

Even the Algerian coach, Rabah Saadane, was surprised at England’s weak effectiveness. He had suspected they would be better, and they just weren’t at their greatest throughout Friday’s match.

Thierry Henry has hinted he could play a super-sub role for France at the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals after he again came off the bench in the 1-1 friendly draw with Tunisia last night. To avoid missing the world cup match, you can Watch Uruguay vs France Live online using an easy to set up software.

“I had a chat with the coach, he told me that I wouldn’t be starting the game,” Henry told L’Equipe.

“As I’ve oftentimes said, the most important thing is the team. I try to come on and to give something, give some movement when I’m called on.

“We’re not here to know who will play and who won’t play. No one is above the team, we’re all in this to go as far as we can together.”

France had to rely on a second-half equaliser from defender William Gallas, who impressed after his late injury concerns, to claim a draw away to a Tunisia side who failed to qualify for South Africa.

Henry admitted France had failed to play to their potential, but believes the best is yet to come as they finalise their preparations after their training camp in Tignes.

“I’m not saying we will go to the World Cup and win our matches 3-0, but we are in a phase of preparation,” Henry added. “We knew very well that it would be a difficult game.

“The important point is that we came from behind. It was difficult , especially in this atmosphere.

“You could see that everyone worked hard to recover the ball. We defended together, we attacked together. Of course, there are still things to tweak, but that is what we are here to do.

“Playing away against Tunisia is difficult . If you look around the world at other teams you will see they had problems too. England also struggled to win against Japan (2-1), with goals late in the game. I’m not looking for excuses, but it is a truth.”

France ended their preparations with a friendly against China before their opening match of the FIFA World Cup against Uruguay on 11 June, where you can Watch Uruguay vs France Live online on the comfort of your computer or laptop computer.

You can now watch South Africa vs Mexico Live in the world cup 2010 match that will be played on 11th June 1600hrs at Johannesburg – JSC, using a special software.

The 5-0 destruction of Guatemala in their penultimate warm-up before the FIFA World Cup set a record winning margin for Bafana Bafana (The Boys) just 10 days before facing Mexico in their first Group A match. The Brazilian, who has presided over six wins and five draws since reverting to South Africa last November, thought his team played better last Monday when drawing with Bulgaria, but praised the attitude.

“This was our second last preparation game so it was significant to assess more or less all the players but, technically, it was not the best match we have played,” admitted Parreira. “I liked the attitude of the team – the commitment was excellent and we created chances and scored five goals. We could not have asked for better.”

Captain Aaron Mokoena became the first South African to reach the 100-cap milestone and admitted it was critical to ensure such a convincing win the day before Parreira announces his final 23-man squad. He said: “This game was so important for us to win to build momentum. We made it easy for ourselves by scoring goals and we are on the right track.

“There were mixed feelings in the dressing-room because we know that some players will leave us tomorrow, but it is part of the game and we have to move on.”

Parreira kept his cards close to his chest when asked about the final squad with Benni McCarthy’s failure to play, raising questions about his inclusion, but the coach gave nothing away. “There’s nothing wrongly with him (Benni) – we know all the players we need by now. It’s a day by day judgement and we’re not going to judge a player on one match.

“They all know that the decision is coming and I would say that everyone deserves to be in the squad but, unfortunately, that cannot happen.” If you don’t want to miss this exciting match, you can pick up South Africa vs Mexico Live Online here.

The newly -built Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban will hold one of the semi-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup;. The ground epitomises the architectural conception on display in South Africa and takes its design inspiration from the South African flag, with its grand arch representing the unity of this sport-loving nation. The two legs of the arch on the southern side of the stadium come together to form a single footing on the northern side, symbolizing the new unity of a once-divided country.

The 70,000-seater has been specifically designed as a multi-purpose venue and an amphitheatre complete with a cable car which ascends to a viewing platform at the top of the expansive 350m arch, a astounding 106m above the pitch. From this vantage point, visitors can experience spectacular panoramic views of the nearby shoreline and the city. The roof is attached to the arch by 95mm-diameter steel cables. Each seat of the stadium is spacious and well-situated, providing a clear line of sight to the pitch.

It is a world-class and multifunctional arena situated in the center of the Kings Park Sporting Precinct. Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium will be the jewel in the crown of the Kings Park Sporting precinct. The entire area will feature additional sporting arenas and facilities as well as restaurants, shops, play areas for children and a pedestrian walkway linking the stadium complex to the beach.

The stadium was built on the site of the old Kings Park Stadium. Moses Mabhida, the ground’s namesake, was born in Thornville near Pietermaritzburg on 14 October 1923 into a poor family who were later forced off their land. In 1963, Mabhida was asked by Oliver Tambo while working in Prague rallying support from the World Federation of Trade Unions, to come back to Africa to develop the ANC’s armed wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK). He underwent military training and became the chief political instructor of new military recruits. He later served as the commander of MK

Building of the amazing new Cape Town Stadium, located on the Green Point Common between the twin South African icons of Table Mountain and Robben Island, began in March 2007.

In just under 3 years , joint contractors Murray & Roberts and WBHO completed the enourmous task at a cost of R4,4-billion – or or so US$600-million. GMP Architects of Germany and two local firms, Louis Karol and Associates and Point Architects, linked forces to design the stadium.
