The modern global game of Football first started in 1863 in London.. The English introduced football into France in 1863, founding their first club. The first official international match which is recognized by FIFA was played between Scotland and England on November 30 1872.. This match was played under the Football Association rules. England won the first international game in 1873.
Soccer is a game played in two halves. The lengths will vary between age groups, but professionals, colleges and high schools play two 45 minute halves. It is a sport played between two teams made up of nine players and a goalie. Read the rest of this entry
