One sport being watched by the most number of viewers in the world is football, or others may call it soccer. With over 700 million viewers of the quadrennial event FIFA World Cup, it obviously presents to people how much the sport is famous. Besides from having so many viewers, there are over 250 million people who play the sport both professionally and amateur. And to have more fun watching the games, it would be a good idea to study soccer terms so that they can follow what is being talked about during the actual games. These terms should be learned by both players and fans for a better understanding of the game. By knowing what terms are being used, one maybe able to play better and have a better time watching the games that are being shown. Plus, if you were to watch a game of football, by not missing anything, you will enjoy it more.

For those who are enthusiasts of football, there will be teams that they fully support. It could be the school they attended or the local team, or maybe another team that they idolize. When it comes to football clubs, one of the most famous teams around is the Barcelona sporting club which currently plays in the Ecuadorian Serie A. With thirteen national championships, the club is tied with another team with the most championships in the league. The name of the club came from the home city of the club’s founder Eutimio Perez in 1925. Having a solid fanbase in every city, this club can be said to be the most famous in the country. Outdoor activities is what many people around the world are happy to delve into and if you are one of them, then you will certainly love to delve into a sport that will make you run and also make you feel very happy when you will get to score. Well, I think you know that I am actually talking about soccer, a sport that kids are very much in love with.

But what if you don’t know too much about soccer and you would like to be let in on some soccer tips? So, if this is the case, then don’t worry, because online you will be able to find them easily. Let us take a close look at some of the things that you will need to know when you will delve into playing soccer.

Talking about the field, it is recommended that before the match will start, you will analyze the field. I am advising you to do this as if the field is wet, there will be many chances that you and your kids will get to be in for slips and also injuries. You can also fall and have a twisted or broken ankle and that is really not good at all, as it’s very painful.

There are many techniques that you will need to be aware of when you will face your opponents and the most important thing is to be careful when you will collide head on, as there are many chances that you will have your necks broken. And no one would like to be let in on something like this.

Also, a good soccer advice is that you will get a good amount of sleep, for this game will pretty much wear you out. There is a lot of running to do and you will also need to push through your opponents, which is not that easy. Make sure that you will always sleep at least 8 hours and this way, you will be able to have a lot of fun without feeling tired.

Last but not least, let us not forget about the fact that when you will delve into this sport, you will be required to burn out a lot of calories, so this means that you need to eat very well. When you run on the field and you try to get away from your opponents, you will need the energy to do so. No one can argue that kids soccer is a game that is very much fun to play, yet you will need to stick to the rules if you want to delve into a game that is both fun and safe to play.

Match 1: Aston Villa – Fulham: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

Aston Villa’s mini winning run came to an end when they lost 3-1 at Manchester United. This was no big surprise for me as I predicted them to lose. Villa’s last home game resulted in a 1-0 victory over high flying Manchester City. Villa have dropped a place in the table to 14th after losing on Tuesday as Fulham who were below them beat Newcastle 1-0 to leapfrog them. This betting game should then be an Interesting one.

Villa’s home record is average with wins over West Ham, West Brom, Blackpool, Everton & of course Manchester City last time out. They have also drawn with Manchester United, Chelsea (Good draws), Bolton & Birmingham. On the negative side they have lost three times to Arsenal, Spurs & Sunderland. A mixed bad you would agree but it is really Villa’s away record that has dragged them down into the lower half of the table. However, Villa have picked up recently with the signing of Darren Bent which seems to have revived them with vital wins over Manchester City & Wigan.

Fulham are on a good run with only one defeat since the holiday period which was a narrow 1-0 defeat at Liverpool. Since the new year Fulham have beaten Stoke (twice), West Brom & on Wednesday Newcastle. They drew at Wigan as well which was a good away pint & also have the added bonus of being in the 5th round of the FA Cup after wins over Peterborough & last Sunday when they thrashed Spurs 4-0! Fulham have only one once away this season at Stoke but have drawn 6 times & only lost 5 which isn’t too bad.

I think that Villa will win this game but only just & Darren Bent might be the difference.

Match prediction: Aston Villa to win
Score Prediction: Aston Villa 2 Fulham 1
Attendance Prediction: 35,000

Match 2: Everton – Blackpool: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

Everton played well at Arsenal on Tuesday but eventually went down 2-1 after taking a first half lead. Their goal may have been offside but they deserved to be in front at half time. Can’t imagine Manchester United being one nil down at half time to an offside goal at Old Trafford. Everton have spent most of the season in the bottom half of the table mainly due to the large amount of draws they have had this season. Yes, they are proving hard to beat but not converting the draws into wins.

Everton’s home form has yielded only three wins over Liverpool, Stoke & Spurs. It is the draws against Wigan, Bolton, Wolves & West Ham that have cost them. They did draw 3-3 with Manchester United but that was a point gained as they were 3-1 down until very late in the game. Also the defeats against Newcastle, West Brom & Arsenal have obviously also proved costly.

Everton now face Blackpool who have lost their last 4 league games, three of them at home. Their latest defeat was on Wednesday when they lost 3-1 to West Ham at home which was a bad game for them to lose as West Ham were bottom before the game.

Blackpool are now in serious danger of being sucked into the relegation fight as they are now 13th just 4 points above the drop zone. Blackpool’s away record is better than their home record as they have won 5 away compared to 3 at home. Blackpool lost their last away game 3-2 at West Brom & to be honest I can see them losing this game especially as Everton won their previous home game against Spurs in the League.

I predicted Blackpool to go down at the start of the season & then retracted that after their good run. I might have to revisit that decision. A home win.

Match prediction: An Everton win
Score Prediction: Everton 3 Blackpool 1
Attendance Prediction: 37,000

Match 3: Manchester City – West Brom: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

City dropped more points on Wednesday when they drew 2-2 at Birmingham & this after they had lost 1-0 at Aston Villa in their previous league game. Add to that a 1-1 FA Cup draw at 3rd Division Notts County & I reckon you have a crisis, sack the manager, etc, etc…..Are not the media dreadful, Yes you Radio 5 & the Papers.

Anyway I digress. City have now fallen three points behind Arsenal & having played a game more than the Gunners. Also, Chelsea have closed the gap on them as well to two points & again City have played a game more. Interesting times for the blue half of Manchester. They now face a West Brom side who are trying to pull away from the clubs fighting to starve off a relegation battle. West Brom drew 2-2 at home with Wigan on Tuesday which was ok as they needed to avoid defeat but it still leaves them three points above the drop zone. City have a good home record with only two defeats to Arsenal & Everton & wins over Liverpool, Wolves (Last home game), Blackpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Bolton & importantly Chelsea. The draws have come against Blackburn, Birmingham & Manchester United.

West Brom’s away record is not good. They have won just two games at Everton & Arsenal with draws at West Ham & Manchester United. Sadly (for them) they have lost 8 times. I’m afraid I can’t see West Brom providing a shock in this game & City should win this game to put pressure on the teams around them in the battle for the title & 4th place for the Champions League.

Match prediction: A home win
Score Prediction: Manchester City 3 West Brom 1
Attendance Prediction: 46,000

Match 4: Newcastle – Arsenal: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

Arsenal are still in the title race after they came from behind to beat Everton 2-1 on Tuesday. They are still however, 5 points behind Manchester United. If Arsenal are going to win the title then United need to drop some serious points & I can’t see that happening. Arsenal are still fighting on all four fronts. They are in the League cup final, through to the 5th round of the Cup & play Barcelona next week in the Champions League where I’m afraid I think they will fail & go out like they did last season.

Arsenal take the best away record in the Premiership this season to Newcastle. Last time these two sides met at St James Park Arsenal won 3-1 (if I remember Correctly) & I can see a similar result this time out. Arsenal have only lost twice away this season at Manchester United & Chelsea but have won at Everton, Wolves, Blackburn, Aston Villa, West Ham, Birmingham & importantly Manchester City, a total of 7 wins, better than anyone else which is a credit to the way Arsenal play football. They have also managed draws at Liverpool, Wigan & Sunderland.

Newcastle lost at Fulham on Wednesday but have slightly improved under Alan Pardew since his appointment. They have an ok home record with wins against Liverpool, West Ham, Aston Villa & Sunderland while they have lost to Blackburn, Manchester City, Blackpool & Stoke. The draws have come against Spurs, Chelsea & Wigan.

In Newcastle’s last home game they drew 1-1 against Spurs but I think that Spurs North London Rivals Arsenal will go one better & win but knowing Arsenal it will be a nervous win at times.

Match prediction: Arsenal to win
Score Prediction: Newcastle 1 Arsenal 3
Attendance Prediction: 46,000

Match 5: Stoke – Sunderland: (Saturday February 5th: 12.45pm):

Stoke lost 2-0 at Liverpool on Wednesday just as I predicted. It was their 8th away defeat this season. Not good but they have a good home form & have at least won 3 times away which is more than a few clubs. Stoke now play Sunderland who lost only their second home game of the season when they went down 4-2 to Chelsea on Wednesday.

Stoke as I have said have a good home record with wins over Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn, Birmingham, Aston Villa & last time out at home 2-0 against Bolton. They have also drawn with Manchester City & West Ham. The defeats have come against Blackpool, Manchester United, Spurs & Fulham. Stoke are 11th in the table which I feel is more or less where they will end up come the end of the season.

Sunderland won their last away game at Blackpool which was their third away win of the season after wins at Chelsea & Aston Villa. Sunderland have also drawn away at Liverpool, Blackburn, Fulham, Tottenham & Wigan. The defeats list stands at 4 which is good. Sunderland’s away form has improved on last season as they only managed one away win last season at Bolton & that was on the opening day of the season.

I think that Stoke’s home form will just get them past the post but Sunderland should have the last laugh by finishing higher than them come the final day of the season.

Match prediction: A home win
Score Prediction: Stoke 2 Sunderland 0
Attendance Prediction: 27,000

Match 6: Spurs – Bolton: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

Spurs got a vital 1-0 win at Blackburn on Wednesday. It was their first win in the league since January 1st when they beat Fulham 1-0 at Home. Spurs have therefore closed the gap on Manchester City by two points as City could only draw at Birmingham but failed to close in on Chelsea as they won for the third time on the bounce when they beat Sunderland away. The gap between Spurs & Chelsea is still three points in the battle for 4th place & beyond. I suspect that the Chelsea Spurs game at Stamford Bridge will be crucial in deciding some issues in the table when it is played later in the season.

Spurs have a good home record & so they will start as favourites against Bolton who have now lost their last five away games on the bounce after only losing at Arsenal in their first 7 away games of the season. Spurs have beaten Blackburn, Wolves, Fulham, Aston Villa, Newcastle & Liverpool. The one point games have been against Manchester City, Manchester United, Sunderland, Chelsea & Everton. The defeats list stands at one & that was somehow against Wigan.

Bolton won at Wolves & West Ham earlier in the season & also drew at West Brom, Aston Villa, Everton & Wigan. To be fair Bolton have played well in their recent run of away defeats & have been a bit unlucky but I suspect that Spurs will simply be too good for them on Saturday as well as being very keen to avenge the 4-2 defeat that they suffered at Bolton earlier in the season.

Match prediction: Spurs to win
Score Prediction: Spurs 3 Bolton 1
Attendance Prediction: 36,000

Match 7: Wigan – Blackburn: (Saturday February 5th: 3pm):

Wigan gained a good point at West Brom on Tuesday which may have failed to close the gap on Albion & Birmingham who are just above them in the table but at least they didn’t fall further behind. Wigan have a poor home record with only two wins against Wolves & Albion. It is the amount of drawn games at home that has cost them as they have drawn 6 games against Liverpool, Sunderland, Fulham, Bolton, Arsenal & Stoke. The five defeats have not helped either & this explains why they are second from bottom in the table having slipped a place due to West Ham winning 3-1 at Blackpool on Wednesday.

Blackburn have a below average away record with three wins at Newcastle, Blackpool & West Brom to their credit but 8 defeats. It is Blackburn’s home record that sees them in 9th place. Blackburn as I have said many times this season will stay up unless they have a massive collapse in form.

I think as I have thought all season that Wigan will go down this season which will be a shame as I don’t like Rugby League & would like Wigan to do well. Oh well such is life.

A score draw then & a point that will be of more use to Blackburn than Wigan.

Match prediction: A score draw
Score Prediction: Wigan 1 Blackburn 1
Attendance Prediction: 16,000

Match 8: Wolves – Manchester United: (Saturday February 5th: 5.30pm):

Wolves lost away again on Wednesday when they went down 1-0 at Bolton. They have now slipped to bottom of the table after West Ham’s win at Blackpool. Difficult times for Wolves in their bid to stay in the Premiership for a third season. Wolves home form is midtable form with five wins, two draws & five defeats. It is of course their dreadful away form that sees them bottom of the table as they have managed only one win & one draw out of 11 games.

Wolves now play a Manchester United side who have yet to lose a game in the league this season. This I can’t understand but that is football. United have a near perfect home record which was continued with a 3-1 win against Aston Villa on Tuesday. Away despite their unbeaten record they have won just three & drawn eight. Last time out away United won 3-2 at Blackpool & to be honest I really can’t see Wolves ending United’s unbeaten record. For the record the list of games that United have drawn away have been at Spurs, Manchester City, Everton, Bolton, Sunderland, Birmingham, Fulham & Aston Villa.

Sorry Wolves but I can’t see you adding to your home wins over Stoke, Sunderland, Manchester City, Birmingham & Chelsea. Victory number four then for United on the road then.

Match prediction: A Manchester United win
Score Prediction: Wolves 1 Manchester United 2
Attendance Prediction: 27,000

Match 9: Chelsea – Liverpool: (Sunday February 6th: 4pm):

Liverpool won again on Wednesday when they beat Stoke 2-0. This was their third league win on the trot after wins against Wolves & Fulham. Unbelievably Liverpool have now moved up the table to the dizzy heights of 7th, just two points behind Sunderland above them. Liverpool won’t make the Champions League but they might get into the UEFA Cup if they keep up this winning run.

They now face Chelsea whom they beat at home earlier in the season which to date I feel has been their best result this season. This will be a difficult game for Liverpool as they have a very poor away record with only two wins to their credit & 8 defeats. Chelsea have also returned to form with three successive wins in the league against Blackburn, Bolton & on Tuesday against Sunderland when they won 4-2 away.

This fixture also has the added bonus of Chelsea’s new signing from Liverpool Torres who I believe will be playing in the game. I suspect he will make a massive difference in this game for Chelsea & until the end of the season.

A home win then but it should be a very interesting game to watch if you can afford the crazy admission price.

Match Prediction: Chelsea to win
Score Prediction: Chelsea 2 Liverpool 0
Attendance prediction: 41,000

Match 10: West Ham – Birmingham: (Sunday February 6th: 1.30pm):

West Ham had a great win on Wednesday when they won 3-1 at falling Blackpool. They have now moved off the bottom of the table to third from bottom & are now only behind Birmingham on goal Difference. Can the hammers survive? We will see. They now face the very side they are trying to overtake in what is a very big relegation game.

West Ham have a poor home record with just three wins to their credit against Spurs, Wolves & Wigan. They have also managed draws with West Brom, Blackpool, Everton & Fulham but they have managed to lose to Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Bolton & Newcastle. Not good then but the hammers if you look at their record have managed to beat their fellow relegation rivals, so a Home win?

Birmingham have only won once away & that was a few weeks ago at Blackpool. They have however gained draws at Bolton, Fulham, Aston Villa, Manchester City & Sunderland. Last time out away Birmingham were thrashed 5-0 at Manchester United which was their 5th away defeat after defeats at Arsenal, West Brom, Wolves & Stoke.

I think that the hammers will win this game & leapfrog above Birmingham who are beginning to pay for the large amount of draws they have had this season.

Match Prediction: A West Ham win
Score Prediction: West Ham 2 Birmingham 1
Attendance Prediction: 35,000

In Parkinson’s ailment, tissue demise is highly selective. Neurons which develop the neurotransmitter dopamine die in a part of the brain which coordinates motion. Doing so depletes dopamine reserves and prospects to muscle mass rigidity, tremor and problem initiating movement.

The distinct mind province affected by Parkinson’s ailment, the substantia nigra, has the greatest level of mitochondrial DNA mutation in the mind. Proof is mounting which mitochondrial DNA mutations lead to cell respiration to malfunction in Parkinson’s disorder, precisely as Linnane’s theory may predict. Parkinson’s ailment patients show faulty cell respiration in the first complex of the cellular respiratory bond.

Beal and fellow workers identified which the bioenergetic deficit in Parkinson’s ailment patients correlates strongly with Co-Enzyme Q10 levels. In follow-up research, they examined Co-Enzyme Q10 on mice handled with a neurotoxin (MPTP) whose effects mimic Parkinson’s disorder. The toxin induced considerably much less damage to the dopamine hard drive in the brains of mice that had been fed Co-Enzyme Q10 for the preceding 5 weeks.

Beal’s colleaues also tested the bioenergetic induce of verbal Co-Enzyme Q10 health supplements in Parkinson’s ailment individuals. These researchers observed which Co-Enzyme Q10 restored the despondent activity of the first complex of the cellular respiratory bond to roughly regular levels, and was most efficient at 600 mg per day. The scientists emphasized, nevertheless,
that a bigger examine is required to ascertain no matter whether the pattern toward significance of these final results can be validated. In addition, a new study shows which oral Co-Enzyme Q10 additionally increases the effects of the second compound of the cellular respiratory link in the brains of normal mice.

Scientists theorized that the bioenergetic defect in Parkinson’s disease “lowers the threshold” for programmed cellular demise. Energetically deficient neurons are much less able to tolerate oxidative stress, that then start the cell“decision to die”. Oxidative stress is especially elevated also beneath regular conditions in the region of the brain affected by Parkinson’s disease, which may help explain why additional oxidative emphasize slows tissue in which specific region past the threshold for programmed cellular demise. Co-Enzyme Q10 may be the critical to helping Parkinson’s Disease patients to over-come the major effects of the disorder.

World Cup Fixtures: June 24th (Thursday) ~ 25th (Friday) 2010:

Match: 41 Group “E” – New Zealand – Paraguay: (Thursday June 24th 3pm):

New Zealand somehow but deservedly held the World Champions Italy to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. It was no fluke as Italy were very poor. What summed up the game for me & the difference in the sides resources was the second half sub for New Zealand who because he was a part time player worked in a bank in Wellington. Brilliant but not the working for a bank bit. It seems that Italy have lowered themselves to England’s level of bad football. I would hate to see a game played between England & Italy if it they played each other. Paraguay beat Slovakia 2-0 on Sunday which means they are top of the group with just the one game to play. They should qualify into the next round bar some really bad luck. Paraguay now face New Zealand with both sides hoping for the right result to get out of this group. Can’t believe that New Zealand are in such a position after two games when I didn’t even think they would score a goal in this world cup let alone draw their first two games. I think that Paraguay will win but it will be a low scoring game I suspect.

Result Prediction: Paraguay to win

Score Prediction: Paraguay 2 New Zealand 0

Match 42: Group “E” – Italy – Slovakia: (Thursday June 24th 3pm):

Italy are now in a real fight to stay in this years World cup after two very disappointing results, the latest being a 1-1 draw with the might of New Zealand who are ranked lower than the “Isle of Man”. Italy need to get their act together & fast or they are going to go out. They drew all their games in 1982 & somehow qualified out of their group but then went onto win the World cup. Could history repeat it self? I don’t think so. Slovakia lost 2-0 to Paraguay on Sunday & must be considered favourites to not qualify from this group. I think that Italy will win this game & go through with Paraguay. Paraguay have not played very good football as they have sneaked goals in games & just sat back after scoring. Italy on the other hand have just been poor but then in the last world cup I felt that anyway & they went onto win the trophy. In other words what the hell do I know? I think this will be a boring game with Italy like their other two games trying to break the other side down. This should make for boring TV but you won’t here that from the TV commentator on the day as he will try to make you feel as if you are watching the best game ever.

Result Prediction: Italy to win

Score Prediction: Italy 2 Slovakia 0

Match 43: Group “F” – Holland – Cameroon: (Thursday June 24th 7.30pm):

This game is a dead rubber. Holland have qualified after beating Japan 1-0 (as I predicted) & Cameroon are out after losing to Denmark 2-1after they had taken the lead. They played well against Denmark & created plenty of chances but lady luck was not on their side. They now face Holland in a game that means nothing to both sides so predicting the result could be difficult especially as both sides might not play their full strength sides. I think that Cameroon will be gutted at going out & could be affected by in confidence. We will see. Holland have done well to qualify & I wish England could have a bit of whatever they have. Holland could be one of the dark horses in this world cup as they always play good football. In the last European Championships they played really well in the group games but came undone against a Russian side that beat them 3-1 after Extra time. They will be hoping for better luck in their first knockout game. I will as well as long as they are not playing England of course. A Dutch win as they will be relaxed.

Result Prediction: Holland to win

Score Prediction: Holland 2 Cameroon 0

Match 44: Group “F” – Denmark – Japan: (Thursday June 24th 7.30pm):

Denmark had a great 2-1 win against Cameroon in their second game which knocked out Cameroon & has given the Danes the chance of reaching the knockout stage if they can beat Japan in this game. It won’t be easy for them as Japan have played well so far. Japan only lost their last game 1-0 to Holland after beating Cameron 2-0 in their first game, this means that both sides are on two points going into this game. I think that Denmark will win this game but it will be close & their should be a few goals as both sides play attacking football & don’t like to defend which is good for football & themselves I suspect as no player must want to play a defensive system. I suggest you watch this game & others but avoid the England game as it will be too painful trying to Watch England as they struggle to beat Slovenia & in my opinion fail. A nice to game to watch then & Denmark to win & maybe just maybe they will do what they did in 1992 in the European Championships. If you are too young to remember 1992 then ask your Dad.

Result Prediction: Denmark to win

Score Prediction: Denmark 2 Japan 1

Match 45: Group “G” – North Korea – Ivory Coast: (Friday June 25th 3pm):

North Korea did well against Brazil in their first game & won a lot of new friends with the way they played, me included but they came back down to earth with a massive bump by losing 7-0 to Portugal. It goes without saying that I predicted North Korea to lose the game beforehand but not by such a big margin. Shame I missed the game as I would have liked to have seen the goals. Ivory Coast went down 3-1 to a useful looking Brazil side who must be as always one of the Favourites for the World Cup. North Korea have nothing to lose in this game as they are out of the World cup as are the Ivory Coast more or less as they are not really going to win this game by a really high margin to overtake Portugal if they lose to Brazil. Portugal’s goals against North Korea have more or less given them an extra point. Hard to say which way this game will go but I think that Ivory Coast will win but they will not be going any further in this World cup. Another African side going home early which is a shame. I can only say one thing to North Korea & that is “You’re going home in a veil of secrecy” Copyright “The Danny Baker Show”.

Result Prediction: Ivory Coast to win

Score Prediction: Ivory Coast 2 North Korea 0

Match 46: Group “G” – Brazil – Portugal: (Friday June 25th 3pm):

Brazil are through to the next round as are Portugal more or less because of their massive goal difference. This again is a difficult to predict as I think that Portugal will be aiming to avoid a heavy defeat so that they can go through. Brazil will play to win as they always do & because of that I think they will win but I don’t think it will be a heavy scoring game. There shouldn’t be a language problem between the sides as the national language of Brazil is of course Portuguese. Who says that you don’t learn through football prediction articles? I probably will watch this game down the pub as I will almost certainly drowning my sorrows after England have gone out on Wednesday. This of course means that I will probably not remember the game & will have to check the score the following day with a hangover. What a dreadful life for us poor football writers. A Brazil win & let’s hope somebody knocks them out so that someone new can win the World Cup as I am fed up with them doing so well all the time.

Result Prediction: Brazil to win

Score Prediction: Brazil 2 Portugal 0

Match 47: Group “H” – Chile – Spain: (Friday June 25th 7.30pm):

I watched Spain on Monday night beat Honduras & I thought they were really impressive. Their football is a joy to watch. Along with Argentina they are the two sides that impressed me the most in this World Cup. Spain won 2-0 (as I predicted) & poor old Honduras just didn’t know what day it was. The score could have been so much worse for them as Spain missed a penalty as well as missing so many chances that It makes you wonder what sort of scoreline it would have been if they has taken their chances. Chile beat Switzerland 1-0 to more or less qualify for the next round. This could be a tough game for Spain as Chile are playing well & this is backed up by their maximum points tally so far. If Spain had not somehow lost to Switzerland then this game would be a dead rubber. It would be very bad for the World cup if Spain went out because of the wonderful football they play. I think that Spain will win this game to put a marker out to the other teams in the World cup but it might be close, should be a good game though as both sides are in good form.

Result Prediction: Spain to Win

Score Prediction: Spain 2 Chile 1

Match 48: Group “H” – Switzerland – Honduras: (Friday June 25th 7.30pm):

Switzerland were very lucky to beat Spain 1-0 in their opening game but that luck deserted them when they played Chile as they lost 1-0. If Chile lose their game against Spain then Switzerland have to beat Honduras. This will mean that you will have three sides all on four points & only goal difference to separate them. So this is what I am going to go for, ie, a Switzerland victory. Honduras are not a bad in terms of effort & hard work but they are a bit out of their depth. I think they will lose & with Spain beating Chile it should make for a very interesting final table in this group. I can remember Switzerland making their world cup debt in 1994 in the USA when they played in the opening game of that competition & drawing with the hosts 1-1. They also reached Euro 96 & drew their opening game again with the hosts England 1-1. They then collapsed & went out without another point. They even lost to Scotland. I think they will go out again, which will be a shame for them. A shame their fans didn’t bring their cow horns to drown out the dreadful sound of those South African horns which are doing my head in. Who ever thought of those horns wants to made to watch replay’s of England’s group games as punishment. A Swiss win.

Result Prediction: A Swiss win

Score Prediction: Switzerland 1 Honduras 0

That’s all the weekend when I will be bringing you the first knockout games in the last 16.

Nice to see my predictions going up after a dreadful start. I have now predicted 14 correct results out of the first 32 games which is just under 50% but climbing.
